Called Connie to see if she could cut Dad's hair tomorrow. Said she would. (W) | | | | | Took Dad shopping: Southern Family Yes!!!! Had a really good visit: Never did figure out who started his facebook page: but I changed password & added pic: Debit card is in & has been activated: Just waiting for Pin# to arrive: Sh/be in the next 5 days or so: He is still very itchy Jo$ Went by Dad's to see what his plans were for next week. Wanted me to take him around to hotels this afternoon to look at handicapped rooms. Told him no. Called & found room at Jameson Inn that has roll in shower. Will take him there tomorrow to see if the room works for him. (W) | Took Dad to Jameson Inn. He said the room will work. Got his reservation made. He will be in room 325. (W) |

| | Got Dad settled in at Jameson Inn. Took him lunch & got him some drinks and snacks. Went by his apt. because he forgot some of his meds. Took him supper. (W) | Went to help Dad with breakfast & went by his apt. to get some more of his meds. Angela (bath aide) called at 11:00 and said Dad wasn't feeling well enough to have his bath. Told her I was going by at 1:30 & she wanted me to call her to see if he felt well enough for her to come back. Took Cameron swimming while Dad sunbathed. Called Angela & she said she would come back between 3 and 4. (W) | Dad appt. 11:00 Alabama Institute for the Deaf and Blind. Took Dad dinner & ate w/him. Had a nice visit: Jo$ Went & helped Dad with breakfast. Took him to his appt. at AIDB. He looked at other types of lighted magnifiers for reading. They gave him several catalogues with items to help seeing & hearing impaired individuals. Took him back to hotel & ran back to his apt. to get his magnifier so he could look at the catalogues. Michelle was there when I got back. She is doing lunch today & her kids were going to swim. (W) | Helped Dad with breakfast & got him checked out of hotel & back home. Got everything moved back & uncovered. He said he & Michelle would hang stuff back on walls. Carl coming in today but Dad won't be ready to go with him till tomorrow. I will take him to meet Carl in Russellville some time tomorrow. (W) | Picked Dad up. Took him to the bank for cash & took him to Russellville to meet Carl. He is staying with Carl till Sunday. Carl called said he would bring dad home since it was raining & the kids couldnt swim. I dropped his key off at apt. Jo$ | Thomas (social worker with MidSouth) called & said he was going to Dad's @ 2:00. Met him over there. He talked to Dad about assisted living. Thomas thinks he can get him enough VA money to be able to pay for assisted living even with the rise in cost as Dad requires more care. Thomas said that Green Oaks or Regency Villa will be the two in his price range. I will take Dad to tour the places since he can't remember anything about them. (W) | Called & set up appointments to tour Green Oaks & Regency Villa. Went by Dad's to try to get his printer to work. Had no luck. Will see if Keith can check it.(W) | Dad appt. at Green Oaks 10:00 Took Dad to Green Oaks. Too much to write here. I will call you. (W) | Dad appt. at Regency Villa 10:00 Took Dad to Hilltop (formerly Regency Villa). He decided he likes it there better. Will call Thomas today to let him know Dad's choice. (W) | Stopped by and found debit card: hee hee :) cleaned up his computer a little & got printer working; Media player still not working but will save that for another time: Jo$ Took Dad shopping. He has lost his debit card but has the PIN. Thomas called while shopping told him Dad had changed his mind about assisted living. Thomas said he would try to go by and talk to Dad. Took Dad home---he said Carl is coming down for Julian's funeral. He will stay w/him in hotel. Not sure of dates. Jo$ | Took Dad to VA. Carl is not coming to get Dad. Dad will need to be taken to the funeral Wednesday. Called Exie to try to find out arrangements. She didn't know what time on Wed. Called & left message with Brother James' wife for him to call me so I can find out time. Also, Dad wants a eulogy he typed to be read by Brother James at funeral. Will ask him about that when he calls me back. Dad was wanting me to overnight the eulogy to Brother James. Told him it could be emailed or just given to him before service. Told him I wasn't going again until next Friday so if anyone else would like to take him, feel free to. Called me this afternoon & wanted a Strawberry Cobbler recipe.
