TAKE NOTES IN YOUR OWN WORDS on the YELLOW citation sheet.
Make sure you have the citation sheet filled out with all necessary information.
Begin to organize your English materials"
1)staple colored citation sheet to text (article, copied section of print resource...)
2) Check your FOCUS QUESTIONS: do they work?
3) Think about the information you are gathering. Are you on track? Have you found answers to some of your focus questions?
4)Bring your PURPLE PRINT citation sheet to class on TUESDAY. (*Classes will meet in the library on Tue. and Wed.)
5)Have you thought about possible interviews you might arrange to help you with your research?

**PLEASE make sure you have a highlighter every day for class.

1) Please read and highlight your SECOND ONLINE ARTICLE for your feature article project.
**REMEMBER to take notes WITHOUT LOOKING AT THE ARTICLE. QUOTE any necessary information.
TAKE NOTES (PARAPHRASE) IN YOUR OWN WORDS on the YELLOW electronic citation/notes sheet. Record your focus questions that are answered by your notes and the types of information you are recording (first two columns on notes sheet)
ORGANIZE your feature article resources by STAPLING the colored citation sheet with the article behind it.
2) DUE THURSDAY: "Queen H." reading with written assignment. (packet)

**Please bring highlighters and blue books and feature article resources to class everyday.
**Tomorrow: classes will be in the library to work on note-taking from PRINT RESOURCES. Bring your purple citation sheets.

Please read your 3rd resource for information on your FOCUS QUESTIONS for your FEATURE ARTICLE PROJECT. (your resource could be a 3rd internet article or *some of you chose to read a book you have at home)
MAKE SURE you are practicing "RAP" (Read-Ask yourself if you understand it? If not, re-read, and re-read-Paraphrase (PUT the information in YOUR OWN WORDS--do not look at the text while taking notes.)
Make sure to ORGANIZE your feature article materials: staple all citation sheets individually to the article that matches.

Please read "Athene's City" MCAS prep. Please take each multiple choice question at a time and GO BACK TO THE TEXT to HIGHLIGHT the answer (evidence) to each multiple choice question. THEN, circle the correct multiple choice answer.
**CATCH-UP: How are you doing with your feature article research?
By now you should have: 3 YELLOW CITATION SHEETS with notes taken from 3 different online articles. These should be stapled individually behind the correct yellow sheet. Also, you should have at least 1 PRINT RESOURCE citation sheet of notes (either a purple one for a book or a white one for a magazine/newspaper article or a blue one for a reference book/encyclopedia).
