Free Internet Calendars - Change List
Horizontal Line new feature - Can now filter events for iCalendar subscription by category; add params like "Category=ThisCat%1CThatCat" new feature - Ad-Free calendars now support custom Email Subject lines for "Reminder" and "Subscription" email messages. new feature - timestamp showing when each event was created or last edited is displayed in list of events above the 'create new event' entry form new translation - Swedish strings added bug fix - duplicate events - Fix bug where duplicate events could be created when editing a repeating event, changing it to non-repeating. new feature - per-access param to hide Details column in List View - add "HideDetails=1" to URL in List View to prevent the Details column from being displayed. Useful when including calendar into an iframe. Also, this param supercedes the value from calendar settings, so if that column is set to not display, passing "HideDetails=0" will force it to be displayed. new feature - option to check for time conflicts only for events that share a categorySee the "General Settings" settings page. bug fix - double-click to edit single instance of bannered, repeating event - Now works a bit better, instead of just displaying error message (which happened if calendar default set to "edit only this instance") bug fix - Event Export date range - Date range selectors on the "Export Events" form now work correctly; were off by 2 years, e.g. selecting "2007" gave you 2005. bug fix - Mail Notification for repeating events had repeating description wrong for events which repeated less often than "every sixth". (E.g. "every 12th month" was reported in the email as "every month".) translation improvements - more and improved Finnish strings, mostly in "Settings" pages interface fix (minor) - selected minutes when editing event - To keep frequently used items at the top of the list, the "minutes" pulldown on the edit form has duplicates for values "5, 10, 15, .. 55". When editing an event, the top instance will now be highlighted instead of the bottom one. (E.g. for a value of ":45", the ":45" between ":40" and ":50" is selected, instead of the one between ":44" and ":46". This makes it easier to change from, say, ":45" to ":00", no scrolling needed. bug fix - iCalendar export format - the UID value for a particular event in an exported, published, or subscribed iCalendar file is now the same every time the file is requested bug fix - "today" in Time Plan view - fixed problem where highlighted day for "today" could be off for some time zones new message - for Ad-Free calendars, "paid through" date is now displayed at bottom of "Settings" page bug fix - popup Date Selector - now works properly in "Delete Events" and "Export Events" admin pages bug fix - event times in "Calcium" import format - events with no times no longer import as "12:00am" bug fix (minor) - Outlook export file name - use "Events.csv" instead of "Events.calcium", so Windows knows what to do with it. Also change MIME type from "text/x-Calcium-Events" to "text/csv". new feature (minor) - location field in export - "Location" field is now included when exporting in iCalendar and Outlook formats. Also in iCalendar subscriptions. bug fix (minor) - mail passwords - provide feedback on login form when passwords are mailed bug fix - RSS encoding - fix same UTF problem for RSS (see Dec. 19.) bug fix - iCalendar broken for Sunbird - fix problem with iCalendar files containing events with non-ASCII characters; use proper UTF-8 encoding bug fix - redirect after login failed - in certain circumstances, like double-click to add in Time Plan view, supplying password would log in, but then display an "ARRAY" error. Should now work properly. bug fix - automatic HTML links - event text like 'www.site.uk.com' will now be properly made into full links; was only working with three parts, e.g. that would have been a link to 'www.site.uk' bug fix - bottom menu colors - make color settings for "Bottom Menus" on "More Color Settings" page work properly. Note that the form must be re-saved to fix the problem in existing calendars. bug fix - remove extra space for Location field - if the "Display Location w/Event" option is enabled, events w/nothing for the Location field no longer display with an extra blank line at top confirmation message - adding long-duration repeating event - an "are you sure?" message is displayed if a repeating event that overlaps itself is added; almost always a mistake. (E.g. an event that has a duration from Monday 8am until Friday 5pm - *and* is set to repeat every day.) bug fix - escaped double quotes in iCalendar import - when importing iCalendar, remove backslash from double quotes in event text new translation - Finnish strings added (work in progress). Contributed by Mr. Markku Järvelä - thanks! display change - "Filtering In..." - indication of whether a filter is in use is now displayed below the calendar, not at top. Also, will not display at all in the Print View is the footers are turned off bug fix - newlines in iCalendar import - when importing iCalendar events, display \n in event summary and details as a newline, not the two characters '\' and 'n' bug fix/feature - extended chars on edit form - when editing an event that has extended characters, it now displays the character in the edit field, and not the HTML entity code. E.g. for an event with an Ω, it will display Ω when editing, not "& #937;" bug fix - times were offset when importing from Outlook CSV - fix to use calendar's time zone when importing from Outlook CSV file (or from Brown Bear Software's iCal file.) Was using UTC, but Outlook exports in 'local' time. bug fix - attempt to edit Add-In events - produce alert message on double-click to edit, don't wait until attempt to submit changes from Time Plan view bug fix - Add-In - fixed problem where wrong Add-In file could get used
bug fix - Time Plan - fixed problem caused by May 8 fix, with certain repeating events not appearing due to timezone shift bug fix - repeating multi-day event display problem - all instances of repeating events that span multiple days now display properly in Time Plan and Block views
bug fix - Outlook import - fix problem w/files exported from Yahoo! in MS Outlook format; they could fail to load if "all day events" had no end time specified bug fix - login + edit - fix problem w/double-click to Edit in Time Plan view when not logged in. Now correctly goes directly to edit form after successful login. bug fix - notify subscribers - for ad-free calendars, checking the box on event entry form to automatically notify calendar subscribers when a new event is added now works properly bug fix - allow only Admins to "Add Events Anyway" - when adding events, if there are violations of calendar policy settings - e.g. "Too Far In Future" - show "Add it Anyway" option only to users who have Admin rights, not everybody bug fix - invalid time zone - don't allow setting zone to "...or find your zone below..."
bug fix - invalid time for zone - fix problems with displaying dates for time zones that have no midnight due to DST time change. E.g. "Africa/Cairo" has no midnight on April 28, 2006. new feature - RSS formats, date range you can now get RSS in different formats, including Atom and RSS 0.9, 0.91, 1.0, 2.0; you can also get events for any number of days in advance. bug fix - fix prev/next month link at very top of entry forme.g. when adding/editing an event in May, links at top were for March/June instead of April/June. (Happened for months in which previous or next month had DST change for your timezone.) new feature - extra Sorting Optionsin addition to existing options of sorting by event time, category, etc., can now display events in a day sorted by the order in which they were created, or modified. new feature - Email Auditingnow available for ad-free calendars; you can choose to have mail automatically sent to any email address(es) you like when any or all of the following occur:
  • calendar is viewed
  • event is added

  • user email subscription added/modified
bug fix - can now delete/rename category named "0" bug fix - weekly repeating events - fix problem w/events set to repeat on exactly one day a week, but which had a start date for a different day of the week. E.g. if defined w/start date of Monday, but repeat every week on Wednesday, it could be displayed on Mondays, not Wednesdays. bug fix - time conflict detection - "minimum separation" was not getting used properly; fixed so now the configured separation is properly taking into account when checking for time conflicts for new/edited events web site - new "tag cloud" shows links to public calendars grouped by their shared keywords keyword page bug fix - iCalendar attachments - fixed date/time problems with timezone offsets. Adding events to Outlook or iCal from attachments in email messages should now produce correct times.
bug fix - time conflict message - error/warning messages for time conflicts was reporting the incorrect time for conflicting events
