This month we are thrilled to be joined by Ouroboros for his class
"Mind Fuck: Knives and the Art of Fear"
Few things embody intimidation, power, and terror like a sharpened piece of steel. In popular culture knives have come to represent a level of intimacy shared between killer and victim that symbolize sex. This class teaches how to capture that experience with safety and consent. While knives are often used for sensation play, or associated with cutting or blood play, this class focuses on using knives to illicit fear, exhilaration, submission, and a uniquely intimate connection, all without drawing blood. The discussion will cover safety, the unique consent and negotiation issues surrounding knife play, selecting knives for play, how various types of bondage interact with knife play, utilizing sensory deprivation and deception, and how to build a scene centered on knife play.
About himself Ouroboros writes: As my chosen name suggests I am focused on personal growth, introspection, and seeking experiences that produce positive change in myself and others. Professionally, I am a student of social life and seek to challenge the every day assumptions that we all make, especially those regarding gender, sexuality, and intimacy. This translates into my play and presentations, where I see kink as an opportunity to challenge these norms.
