Notes

Choosing "All events in the selected categories" does not remove reminders you've set up for specific events, i.e., from an event's "details" popup window.
Choosing "Only events I've specifically requested" does remove reminders based on categories.
In the list of Reminders for Specific Events, repeating events show only the next instance. Once that date is past, the next instance will appear in the list.
