Seating is first-come, first-served, but as long as you show up on time, you should be fine. Films are announced in advance and usually center on foreign or independent titles.

2019 ACTION NIGHTS series: where we'll be joining together every other week in community to take meaningful and strategic action together. From January to June, when the 2019 Oregon Legislature is in session, many Action Nights will be centered upon what's happening in the Capitol, with opportunities to hear direct reports from our Conservation Director and Lobbyist, and hold our elected officials accountable to the people who got them elected. Action Nights will be all about praxis: we'll be learning and growing our organizing skills, then we'll immediately put our new skills to use around a current issue happening in the session.
MISSION: We are Progressive Activists promoting alliances and direct action for Social Justice.

There is no bigger economic problem facing our state and nation than economic inequality. That's why we're excited to invite you a talk by Les Leopold, one of the most insightful thinkers on the issue of economic inequality and author of Runaway Inequality.

What brought us to the extreme inequality of today? And how can we organize to confront the problem? Les will break it down for us.

Cost: $5 -20 donation requested. No one will be turned away for lack of funds. A copy of Runaway Inequality is included with your donation (first 100 only).

This event is co-sponsored by the Economic Justice Action Group of the First Unitarian Church, the Oregon Center for Public Policy, Portland Jobs with Justice, Interfaith Alliance on Poverty, Oregon Coalition of Christian Voices, and Ecumenical Ministries of Oregon, KBOO community Radio
